Glass fibre roofing (GRP) is a common roofing system used throughout the UK. Slate X Roofing have been providing GRP roofing services to residential and commercial properties throughout Wolverhampton for over 10 years.
From a small repair to full on glass fibre roof restoration, we can help you. Our team of experienced and knowledgeable roofers are on hand to tackle any project . A properly laid fibreglass roof will last for at least 30 years with no measurable deterioration.
A GRP roof is a standard boarded roof covered in a layer of fibreglass (polyester resin with glass reinforcement) and coated with a polyester topcoat. It is very tough and cannot be cut with a knife so it provides a very strong roof structure. Traditional felt roofs rely on joints or welded seams, which are potential failure points. A continuous GRP surface has no joins, no welds and no seams.
